US President Joe Biden has met with the heads of Japan and South Korea on Wednesday on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Madrid.
The leaders pledged deeper cooperation to counter North Korea's threats of armed conflict.
It marks the first such gathering between the three countries' leaders in nearly five years.
